Travelers from the Arabian Peninsula including Saudi Arabia
▶ What are the symptoms?
If you have fever (37.5℃) with cough, sore throat,
shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea
within 2 weeks of departure from the Arabian Peninsula
▶ How is it spread?
It is spread from an infected person’s respiratory secretions,
such as coughing.
▶ What should I do in Korea after visiting the Arabian Peninsula?
-If you had close contact with an infected person or you have
symptoms within 2 weeks of your departure from
the Arabian Peninsula, stay in the room and

▶ How do I prevent MERS infection?
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or arm when you cough or sneeze
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
Avoid personal contact, such as kissing, or sharing cups or eating utensils, with sick people
