▶ Who should be aware?
Travelers from the Arabian Peninsula including Saudi Arabia
▶ What are the symptoms?
If you have fever (37.5℃) with cough, sore throat,
shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea
within 2 weeks of departure from the Arabian Peninsula
▶ How is it spread?
It is spread from an infected person’s respiratory secretions,
such as coughing.
▶ What should I do in Korea after visiting the Arabian Peninsula?
-If you had close contact with an infected person or you have
symptoms within 2 weeks of your departure from
the Arabian Peninsula, stay in the room and

▶ How do I prevent MERS infection?
Wash Hand Frequently |
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or arm when you cough or sneeze |
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands |
Avoid personal contact, such as kissing, or sharing cups or eating utensils, with sick people |
